https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyK_TaUuLng During the widespread, unabashed, unadulterated squeeing and general excitement that accompanied The Force Awakens trailer hitting the internet, there were still a few party poopers sat in the corner of the room, ready to snarkily rain on everyone's parade. After all, don't people remember the last time there was a Star Wars teaser trailer that looked especially promising, and then turned out not to deliver on that promise at all? The Phantom Menace did introduce itself with a pretty smart marketing campaign and, yes, a lot of fans got burnt with that particular trick. Despite clearly just being the shots they've actually completed ahead of the film's release next December, The Force Awakens trailer still bodes better than the prequels (shudder). But still, CinemaSins went and made the point more obvious by cutting matching footage from The Phantom Menace to the beats and voiceover of the new clip, and it works frighteningly well. Don't let it put you off or anything, but the shots of Battle Droids do match up well with the Stormtrooper parts...
