10 Hilariously Obvious Stunt Doubles Who Ruined Their Scenes

4. Star Trek: The Next Generation

Picard Stunt Double

Probably the most disappointing moment in any child's life, is the sudden, stark realisation that your parents aren't superheroes. They're fallible, lazy liars who will do literally anything to not have to take you out to the park: your mother is not the pillar of virtue, or champion of cookery you once thought, and your invincible father couldn't fight a cold, and makes animalistic grunting noises when he has to stand up at any speed greater than zero.

But Star Trek fans know a greater sorrow, thanks to the revelation that Jean Luc Picard himself - Sir Patrick Stewart - didn't do all of his stunts, and isn't in fact the demi-God he presented himself as during his illustrious time at the helm of Starfleet's iconic flag ship. As if to stick the knife in, the above still captures a charlatan who clearly shaved the top of his head (an impressive commitment to his art) delivering a typically Picardian right hook to a skunk-headed assailant's chin.

Typical Picard skills. Only not, obviously.
