10 Hilariously One Sided Hollywood Sibling Rivalries

6. Dennis Quaid Vs Randy Quaid

Quaids Older brother Randy Quaid certainly took the lead in this sibling rivalry, performing in The Last Picture Show in his debut, and earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his work in The Last Detail before brother Dennis had even starred in a single thing. Randy has worked regularly since, though progressively he has tended towards small, supporting comedy roles, while his brother Dennis became the more recognisable cinematic presence of the two throughout the 90s into the 2000s, continuing to work on high profile blockbusters like The Day After Tomorrow and G.I. Goe: The Rise of Cobra (hey, I didn't say the movies had to be good). Randy Quaid has meanwhile spent the better part of the last decade engaged in a string of lawsuits, suing the Brokeback Mountain production company for more money, being arrested for failing to pay a hotel bill, living in a house that wasn't his, and fleeing to Canada with the hope of attaining asylum there. So, Dennis is busy making films in the US, while Randy will be arrested the second he sets foot back there, and as his permanent resident status in Canada has recently been rejected, that's looking distinctly likely.
