1. Caesar Crossing the Rubicon
There are few things that interest me more than Roman history and there are few figures in Roman history more interesting, important, or iconic than Julius Caesar. Caesar gained fame for his military campaigns in Gaul and Britain before becoming one of the most important figure in the Roman Republic along with Crassus and Pompey. After his term as governor was finished, the Roman Senate ordered him to disband his army and return to Rome. Caesar, being the cool guy he was, instead decided to cross the Rubicon with his army, sparking a civil war that would eventually lead to the formation of the Roman Empire under Caesar's heir Augustus. A film adaptation following Caesar's military campaigns, the politics that lead to the senate turning on him, to his iconic decision to lead an army on Rome would provide one of the most epic stories ever put on film. Of course the casting of Caesar would have to be done very carefully and the right director would of course have to be selected but the potential in this movie would extremely high.
