10 Hollywood Badasses Who Could Stop A British Zombie Outbreak
5. Zoe Bell
On the set of Death Proof, Zoe Bell was more perturbed by having to deliver dialogue than by riding on the bonnet of a speeding car, which tells you all you need to know about this New Zealand-born stunt performer. From doubling Lucy Lawless in a bad wig to playing herself in Quentin Tarantino’s homage to Carsploitation, she’s had an unusual career.
Death Proof led to bit parts on film and TV, then finally translated into larger roles in Oblivion, where she appeared alongside Tom Cruise, and Raze, where her character was forced into combat with several other abducted women.
Then there was Mercenaries, The Asylum’s all-female knock-off of The Expendables, where she led a group of female commandos (including Kristanna Loken and Vivica Fox) into a war zone to rescue the President’s daughter. Alas, the villains here aren’t zombies, just extras who probably don’t have a SAG card.
