10 Hollywood Myths Everyone Believes

2. Brandon Lee's On-Set Death Was Not An Accident

The Crow Brandon Lee's tragic demise on the set of The Crow was such a bizarre, mysterious happening that people naturally set the rumour mill on fire trying to make sense (or rather, nonsense) of it. Lee was killed when a prop gun misfired a cartridge right into his chest, and though a book could (if it hasn't already) be written on the countless myths surrounding the man's untimely end, the one that persists most is that Lee's death was not an accident; he was, in fact, murdered. The dominant theory is that he was killed for revealing secrets of martial arts, or that he somehow fell foul of some gangsters. Most sensible people will tell you that this clearly wasn't the case, yet given the fascination with both Brandon and his father Bruce dying young under peculiar circumstances, people just love to keep the myth of the Lee family curse running rampant.
