10 Home Invasion Movies Where The Invader Is The Victim
9. Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
A film largely remembered for the fact that it killed off the series' original scream queen Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), Halloween: Resurrection has not fared well in the horror annals (despite being no worse than the vast majority of the series' other entries).
Now the set of a reality entertainment show, Michael Myers’ original home has become little more than a spectacle to the people of Haddonfield and the wider USA – until the Shape himself shows up again. Hitherto presumed dead, Myers returns from the grave and starts putting the new inhabitants of his old digs to rights with bloody conviction, in an attempt to evict the reality show competitors who have taken up residence.
But not all of the gang are willing to just lie down and die, least of all Freddie Harris (Busta Rhymes), director and entrepreneur extraordinaire.
While Freddie's initial stupidity - dressing up as Michael to boost ratings - goes some way to getting several of the show's contestants killed, he comes back around for the third act, taking on Michael and winning. He puts the big guy on notice, goes several rounds with him and lights him up like a Christmas tree. Myers doesn't stay dead for good, but this is one home invasion he won't forget.
