10 Horror Anthology Movies You've Probably Never Seen

9. Campfire Tales

Trilogy Of Terror Zuni
New Line Cinema

Released in the shadow of horror hit Scream, Campfire Tales is a horror anthology with a cast of now famous faces, and is a cult classic waiting to be discovered.

With a cast that includes James Marsden (X-Men), Amy Smart (Crank), and Ron Livingston (The Conjuring), you might be wondering why have I not seen this movie already? Well, simply put, its theatrical release was limited to being screened in one solitary theatre, after which it ended up going straight to video. Which in the '90s, meant you were pretty much doomed to be forgotten.

But, here we are 23 years later talking about it, and that's primarily because it's a quality little horror anthology that deserves a little more love, and a lot more eyes. The wraparound narrative for the anthology features what the title suggests, campfire tales, except they aren't told around a cosy campfire, but an abandoned church.

Three subsequent tales follow, which all pretty good in their own right. For the horror anthology completionists amongst you, it's worth grabbing a copy, if you can find one.
