10 Horror Characters That Appeared Outside Their Own Movies

1. Loads Of Them - The Simpsons

The Goldbergs
20th Century Fox

Ah, The Simpsons.

We can always rely on you for a good pop culture reference!

Anyone who's anyone has visited Springfield over the years and that includes some of the biggest icons in horror history.

Naturally, the show's yearly Halloween specials are a great place to start.

Treehouse of Horror V features brief cameos from Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, and Pinhead as they drag Homer out of a refrigerator. The ninth edition opens with Freddy and Jason sat on the family's trademark couch. Frankenstein's Monster even gets it on with Nelson's mom in Treehouse XX.

Nice one.

Outside of the spooky season, Homer has shown Maggie the movie Scream, so that ticks Ghostface off the list. Freddy turns up again to sing a song in the episode Million Dollar Abie. Dracula is a full-blown member of the Republican Party in several episodes!

Subtlety - who needs it?

Pop culture is just one giant buffet for the folks at The Simpsons, to be picked at and consumed at their will. Horror is no exception to the feast of references, as this charcuterie of cameos from across the years clearly demonstrates.

Anyone else hungry now?
