10 Horror Characters We ALL Foolishly Thought Had Got Away
5. Kirsty - Wolf Creek
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Wolf Creek is one of the few genuinely horrid movies that I struggle to sit through. One of the worst moments (aside from a girl getting her spinal cord cut with a hunting knife, of course) is when fan-favourite Kirsty gets gunned down.
Kirsty puts up a great struggle for most of the movie. She manages to survive for ages, escape Mick's shed when Liz shoots him, and even make it all the way to the road.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre helped lure us into believing that if a character manages to get into a car then they’re gonna get away, so when the long-tormented Kirsty manages to flag down a passing driver we think she’s going to be ok.
However Mick quickly appears and takes out the driver before following Kirsty in his own car. After trying to run each other off the road in various ways, Kirsty eventually finds herself stranded in a ditch with a deflated tyre.
By this point our hope is dwindling, and it is completely smashed when Mick coldly shoots her and crams her body into the stranger’s car she had been driving, before setting said car on fire. Great. Just great.
