10 Horror Films Much Weirder Than You Remember

3. Halloween III: Season Of The Witch

Halloween III is remembered for three things: killer masks, the absence of Michael Myers, and the commercial's surprisingly catchy jingle.

However, there are a few elements which may have slipped viewers' memories, possibly because they switched it off the instant they realised Michael wasn't in this instalment. Season of the Witch centres around a sinister toy company that sells masks designed to kill the wearers on October 31st.

As bizarre at this harebrained scheme is, it's not even the half of it. Although it seems like the masks' ability to kill stems from an advanced microchip at first, that's not the case. Instead, the masks' power originates from (get ready for this) Stonehenge.

The company's CEO, Conal Cochran, reveals his diabolical plan will revive the sacrificial customs of his ancestors, allowing him to take over the world... somehow.

Just when it looks like Season of the Witch couldn't get any nuttier, a bunch of androids are thrown in. By the time one of the main characters, Ellie, is exposed as a robot near the end, the audience has well and truly checked out.
