The Dead Snow franchise is one that maybe flew under the radar a little in a mainstream sense, but those who've seen the two Dead Snow offerings are still patiently waiting for a third film to show up for this most unique of horror franchises.

Dead Snow, of course, is a series based around undead Nazi zombies causing chaos in the beautiful snowy landscapes of Norway.

The gore is plentiful, the violence is imaginative, and the whole thing is a tad ludicrous in its concept, yet the concept of Dead Snow undoubtedly serves up a fun, cheesy, entertaining end product in both the 2009 first movie and its 2014 follow-up, Dead Snow: Red or Dead.

That second picture included a post-credits scene where undead uber-bastard Herzog rose from his grave to give an indication that'd be back to cause more chaos and carnage in a third Dead Snow outing. But here we are, still waiting for a return for this Tommy Wirkola-created series.

Back in 2017, Wirkola gave off some rumblings that Dead Snow 3 was on the way, although it's been complete and utter radio silence on that front ever since - with the Dead Snow franchise seemingly now well and truly dead and buried.
