10 Horror Movie Actors Who HATED Their Own Performances

8. Mark Wahlberg - The Happening

Mark Wahlberg seemingly hates Mark Wahlberg movies.

While the actor was featured in our 10 More Actors Who Hate Their Own Movie Performances earlier this year - that time lambasting his career-best turn in Paul Thomas Anderson's stunning Boogie Nights - this time out he's included for throwing plenty of shade in The Happening's direction.

During the press tour for 2010's The Fighter, Wahlberg discussed how The Fighter co-star Amy Adams was at one point up for The Happening, and that she dodged a bullet by not landing a role in that M. Night Shyamalan picture.

When asked about the first time he and Adams met, Wahlberg told the gathered press (as per The Hollywood Reporter):

"We actually had the luxury of having lunch before to talk about another movie, and it was a bad movie that I did. She dodged the bullet. And then I was still able to... I don't want to tell you what the movie... alright, The Happening. F**k it. It is what it is. F**king trees, man. The plants. F**k it."

As alluded to by Marky Mark, The Happening does indeed centre on plant life - or, y'know, "f**king trees" - taking over the planet and attempting to kill off mankind.
