10 Horror Movie Characters Everyone Hated (But Survived)

6. Bobby Dagen - Saw 3D: The Final Chapter

Make no mistake, duplicitous chode extraordinaire Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery) is one of the most morally suspect "victims" in the entire Saw franchise.

Bobby is a self-help guru who became rich and famous by lying about being a Jigsaw survivor, and so inevitably ends up ensnared in Jiggy's latest game for real, where he attempts to save those who helped fabricate his story, and also his wife Joyce (Gina Holden), from death.

Audience sympathy for Bobby is near-non-existent given that he opportunistically exploited the Jigsaw killings to further his own career, and so as the saying goes, "f**k around and find out."

It doesn't help at all that Bobby is a completely incompetent test subject and fails to save a single one of his fellow "players" roped into the game, even his poor wife, who gets brutally roasted to death despite being basically a totally innocent bystander to Bobby's acts.

You can certainly argue that Bobby's punishment - to watch his wife die before his very eyes and have his reputation destroyed - is a fate worse than death, but to a coward like Bobby, is it really?

Given the series' tendency to give its slimiest characters fittingly horrific deaths, it was hugely disappointing that Bobby actually survived.
