Ghost Ship's salvage worker Greer (Isaiah Washington) is a man undone by his own boozed-up horniness.

Though Greer is one of the few to appreciate early on that there's something off about the abandoned ship the crew have been dispatched to salvage, and soundly recommends they get their goods and leave ASAP, his drunk, wandering libido ends up causing his hilariously unnecessary demise.

Despite mentioning that he's mere weeks away from getting married, Greer chugs some booze and gets seduced by the ghostly visage of the ship's beautiful, glamorous singer, Francesca (Francesca Rettondini).

Greer decides to follow Francesca's lead, rationalising that he can't cheat on his fiancee with someone who doesn't actually exist. But alas, as Greer walks towards a disrobed Francesca, he ultimately passes through her ghostly nude form, falling straight down an elevator shaft to his death.

Greer was absolutely on the money when he suggested scarpering from the vessel as soon as possible, yet despite recognising this, all of his future actions basically served him up to the ghost on a silver platter.
