10 Horror Movie Characters Who Survived Horrific Injuries

9. Noa Gets Her Ass Surgically Removed - Fresh

Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is the protagonist of recent black comedy-horror Fresh - a young woman who meets the hunky Steve (Sebastian Stan), the apparent man of her dreams who is quite predictably too good to be true.

When spending the night at Steve's home, Noa is drugged and wakes up chained, where she learns that Steve is a butcher of human meat. He typically lures young women to his home to surgically remove the finest cuts of meat from their bodies for his wealthy clients.

After Noa attempts to escape, Steve punishes her by incapacitating her and then surgically removes her buttocks - like, her whole damn ass.

And even accepting that Steve did this in a surgical manner which would be less painful than, say, someone randomly hacking her butt cheeks away with a rusty saw, that's still a ridiculously traumatic injury that's going to change how you live the rest of your life.

Your posture, your balance, ability to walk, and even going to the bathroom are all about to become considerably more challenging - and that's accepting the fact that every time you sit down, you're sitting on two giant wounds.

In fact, Noa's relatively speedy recovery from the surgery is probably the least realistic part of the film, because even though she survives the movie and her wounds will eventually heal, her removed posterior isn't ever coming back.
