It sure as hell seemed like Ensign Justin's (Jack Noseworthy) goose was cooked in Paul W.S. Anderson's Event Horizon, right?

While exploring the titular vessel, Justin ends up briefly sucked into the hellish portal created by its experimental gravity drive and is massively traumatised as a result.

Due to what he's witnessed on the other side, Justin then attempts to commit suicide by spacing himself out of the airlock, resulting in him bleeding from just about every possible orifice as the decompression process begins.

Even though he's brought back onboard by Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne), it initially seems like Justin has suffered too much damage from exposure to the vacuum of space.

While Justin has little presence throughout the rest of the movie, it's easy to forget that he is indeed one of the film's three survivors, being put into stasis and later saved by a rescue team. He's certainly going to need a lifetime's worth of therapy, but he somehow made it out alive.
