It's always fun to watch a horror movie a second time and discover a detail that basically spoils the plot of the entire movie - yet without having seen the film from start to finish, it makes no sense at all.

And Ready Or Not has a great example of this - early on we're shown a bevy of board games in the le Domas family's mansion, and if you take a close look, they all basically spell out the particulars of the narrative.

The games we see are Family Ritual, Secret Council, Le Bail's Gambit, Sunrise, and Abracadabra, which in turn refer to the central wedding, the le Domas family's secret wedding night gathering, the pact the family made with Le Bail, Grace's (Samara Weaving) need to survive until sunrise, and finally the family members explosively disappearing when they fail to complete the ritual.

It all means nothing when you first see them, but when you're watching the movie again the relevance of the board games just might click into place.
