2. Jason Decapitates Chris - Friday The 13th Part III
Friday the 13th Part III ends with final girl Chris (Dana Kimmell) planting a hatchet in Jason Voorhees' (Richard Brooker) skull, seemingly killing him, before she has a nightmare of being attacked by the corpse of Jason's mother Pamela.
Chris is then shown being escorted away from the site by the police the next morning, all while Jason's apparently dead body lies motionless in the barn.
But the original ending for Part III was very different. Chris similarly wakes up the next morning in a canoe on Crystal Lake, and rows herself back to shore.
Yet after hearing a noise from the house, she goes to investigate, only to be met by Jason, who bursts out of the door and swiftly decapitates her with his trusty machete.
This ending was tossed out at some point during post-production, at which point a new ending was conceived and Jason's unmasked look was retooled.
Though this brutal ending hasn't ever seen the light of day, a treasure trove of production pictures were posted online back in 2014, giving fans a long-awaited glimpse at how Chris' death would've gone down.
Given that Chris remains one of the series' more popular Final Girls, it was probably for the best that she made it to the end in one piece, but fans would love to see the kill in its full gory glory all the same.
