10 Horror Movie Facts That Will Blow Your Mind

5. Stephen King Was Instrumental In Getting Evil Dead II Made

Stephen-King-Evil-Dead Stephen King is a huge Evil Dead fan. Upon first seeing the original film he wrote a rave review for Twilight Zone magazine (remember that magazine). He proclaimed the film a €œwork of genius€ and €œthe most ferociously original horror film of 1982.€ The Sam Raimi film did indeed deserve the praise; the film is a horror classic. Some time later and Raimi wasn€™t able to secure the money to make a sequel. Insert King who had a multi-movie deal with producer Dino De Laurentiis. He pretty much single handedly convinced the producer that he should get into the Evil Dead sequel business. The rest is horror movie history.
