10 Horror Movie Idiots Who Made Simple Solutions Look IMPOSSIBLE

5. Leaving Jason Dead & Buried - Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

In the case of Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives the simple solution was as easy as... just not doing anything and living your life.

At the start of the movie, the person who actually managed to kill Jason Voorhees in the fourth film, Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews), decides to dig Jason's corpse up and cremate him in the hope that it might end his recurring nightmares of the killer.

But after Tommy digs Jason up and impales him with a metal post, two lightning bolts inexplicably strike it, in turn resurrecting Jason as basically a zombie.

This leads to Jason killing almost 20 people over the course of the film - deaths that would've been avoided if Tommy just left Jason to rot and maybe sought other, medically approved ways to deal with his trauma.

Instead, he went straight for the nuclear option and opened up an insane, machete-wielding can of worms in the process.
