10 Horror Movie Protagonists Who Kind Of Deserved To Die

6. Greer – Ghost Ship

Drag Me To Hell
Warner Bros.

Bar its brilliantly gory opening scene in which a crowd of dancing cruise ship guests are brutally bisected by a wire cable, 2002’s Ghost Ship is a pretty daft movie so an abundance of idiotic characters is to be expected but Greer’s stupidity beggars belief.

Apparently guided entirely by his libido, he completely ignores the fact he’s pretty sure the cruise ship is haunted as hell and has already claimed the life of one of his crewmates and allows himself to be seduced by a sexy lady he knows very well is a ghost.

Anyone who saw Jack Torrance making out with that rotten bathtub lady in The Shining knows that romantically involving oneself with dead women rarely ends well and predictably Greer meets his maker when he falls through the dead seductress’s apparition to his death at the bottom of an elevator shaft. The lusty fool.

Helen Jones hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
