10 Horror Movie Sequels That Were Just Too Cruel

6. Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers

The Descent Part 2
Dimension Films

Now, you can argue that the sixth Halloween movie, The Curse of Michael Myers, is just a sick joke against fans, but it also made the fatal mistake of not only killing off the most sympathetic hero left standing, but doing so in overwhelmingly harsh fashion.

After Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) ducked out of the franchise, protagonist duties were effectively handed over to her young daughter Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris). Yet after impressively surviving two run-ins with her murderous uncle in the fourth and fifth movies, a now-15-year-old Jamie's number finally comes up in The Curse of Michael Myers.

Death is just one of the horrific indignities to befall Jamie (now played by J. C. Brandy), though. Here, she's forcibly impregnated with Michael's (George P. Wilbur) son - as revealed in the Producer's Cut of the movie - and shortly after giving birth to her baby boy is unceremoniously murdered by The Shape.

Beyond the sheer grossness of turning Michael Myers into a r*pist, it's just a horrible outcome for a character fans were firmly rooting for, and that Danielle Harris wasn't even offered enough money to return and complete Jamie's arc makes it even worse. Just... awful.
