10 Horror Movie Sequels We Didn't Want (But Got Anyway)
1. I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2007)
Like other entries on this list, one can be forgiven for not even knowing I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer existed. Little publicity surrounded the straight to DVD release in early 2007, however some did have the misfortune of seeing it, and that's a crying shame.
This three-quel tells of a group of friends accidentally becoming responsible for someone's demise. Panicked, they choose to swear secrecy, but one year later a hook wielding fisherman has a score to settle.
You may be thinking that sounds like a carbon copy of the 1997 original, and you'd be right. This dud does everything it can to cash-in on its famous predecessor. The premise is identical, scenes are copied exactly and the poster art recreates the infamous 90's "floating heads" look. However, despite all its efforts, it's painfully bad. It is not scary in the slightest, predictable, terribly performed and looks like it was shot on a first-generation iPhone. The most painfully awful thing about this film is the baffling choice to take The Fisherman and turn him into an undead entity... That's right, he's a ghost! A vengeful spirit arising to teach anyone deciding to keep a secret a deadly lesson. Muse Watson's sinister and very human Ben Willis is gone, replaced by a snarling CGI zombie.
This outing is a blatant attempt milk a tired brand and inevitably it failed.
