10 Horror Movie Villains KILLED Before The End

The climax of The Lost Boys sees the heroes desperately trying to kill David (Kiefer Sutherland), who they believe to be the head of the vampire clan terrorising the sleepy California beach town of Santa Carla.

If they kill the head vampire, it will allow turned humans to revert to their regular selves, but even once David is impaled and defeated, the gang quickly notices that the infected haven't returned to normal. At this point, the big twist drops, that David wasn't the head vampire at all, but a lackey of the real one, operating under the guise of lowly video store owner Max Lawrence (Edward Herrmann).

And so, Sam (Corey Haim) and the Frog brothers (Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander) have another threat to deal with, with the film continuing for an additional few scenes as they take care of Max - with a handy assist from Sam's grandpa (Barnard Hughes).
