10 Horror Movie Villains Who Actually Won

5. Leatherface - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

Texas Chainsaw Massacre
New Line Cinema

This is a particularly nasty little one because right up until the last minute we’re led to believe that maybe - just maybe - Leatherface hasn’t had the last laugh.

Throughout the film we witness the meaty-faced maniac rip and tear his way through everyone in his path, as is his prerogative. Luckily for us, none of the characters are particularly likeable so we’re not exactly sad to see them go.

However it’s human nature to root for the underdog, want the best for the innocent folk who seem to be down bad. There’s no worse to be down than being murdered by an insane killer, and when you’ve seen all your friends slaughtered brutally by him, you deserve a win.

As we enter the final sequence our only survivor is Chrissie. Traumatised, she manages to drive herself away from the compound of horrors and onto the open road. It looks like she is about to be on the home-stretch to survival when, out of nowhere, Leatherface rises up from the back seats and skewers her.

Safe to say the bad guy won this one.
