10 Horror Movie Villains Who Encountered Something Worse
4. Hoag's Gang - No One Lives
No One Lives appears to follow a pretty well-trod formula at first, as a couple - Betty (Laura Ramsey) and a man known only as "Driver" (Luke Evans) - are preyed upon by a gang of thieves led by the vicious Hoag (Lee Tergesen).
Yet in a supreme case of bad luck for the robbers, it turns out they've basically targeted the worst person imaginable, given that Driver is actually a secret serial killer and he's very, very good at his "job".
Driver doesn't take long to escape his restraints and start working his way through Hoag and his gang in revenge for Betty's death, and the guy is willing to do just about anything to get the job done - even hiding inside the corpse of one of his victims in order to reach the gang's hideout. Yup.
Ultimately, Driver's an efficient and brutal enough killer that you might even end up feeling just a teensy bit sorry for his victims. Again, only a little bit, though.
