If, like us, you’ve been obsessing over Marvel’s most recent Disney+ output then the chances are you’re already very familiar with Elizabeth Olsen’s mastery.

However, long before she became Wanda Maximoff and bossed her way through Marvel’s output, she appeared in quite a range of films and shows.

One such film is 2011’s Silent House, a remake of the 2010 Uruguayan film La Casa Muda (translating to roughly the same name). This one is incredibly dark in nature, so tread carefully.

The basic premise follows Sarah, her father and her uncle as they work together fixing up the family’s old home. After Sarah is confronted at the front door by a girl claiming to be her friend, whom she has no recollection of ever meeting, things start to deteriorate rapidly.

Over the next few hours, Sarah’s life begins to unravel around her. With some jarring and at times confusing sequences, the film seeks to baffle and confound audiences before telling them the truth - because sometimes you can’t handle the truth.
