If you’re a big fan of WhatCulture Horror then you’ve definitely heard this film be bought up once or twice before, but that is for good reason! This 2007 found footage horror follows journalist Ángela and her cameraman Pablo as they join a local fire station’s night shift as part of their filming for a new documentary series.
The fire crew get called out to an apartment building, having received a call that an elderly woman appears to be trapped inside her flat and is screaming out. On arriving, however, things seem to be slightly off. The elderly woman is incredibly aggressive and the military has the building cordoned off.
It seems that some of the people trapped inside the building are behaving in an unnaturally aggressive way, with some of them soon resorting to attacks that maim and kill other residents and those nearby. Ángela and Pablo find themselves trying to escape the building in order to survive, with far more than just an angry old lady and a few locked doors getting in their way.
If you like a bit of found footage horror and a well-paced, tight timeline then this is worth a watch.
