9. Stop Smiling! - Rabid

Rabid starts off with Rose getting involved in a motorcycle accident while driving through the countryside. Rose is left so badly injured, no conventional operation can save her.

Desperate for a solution, her surgeon, Dr. Keloid, performs an unprecedented procedure involving morphogenetically natural grafts. (Don't worry. I don't understand it either.)

As Dr. Keloid is about to begin the operation, he takes a moment to explain to his colleagues that what they are about to perform has never been done in the history of medicine.

While the doctor gives this profound speech, you may notice that his patient, Rose (who is supposed to be unconscious), is smiling! Actress Marilyn Chambers was clearly suffering from the giggles while filming this scene, since you can see her trying her best not to laugh. You can become so distracted by Chambers' quivering lip, you may have missed the doctor's whole spiel.

Because director David Cronenberg is such a stickler to detail, it's surprising he didn't notice Chambers was on the verge of breaking character during one of the movie's pivotal scenes.
