For those lucky enough to watch Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's full Grindhouse experiment in a movie theatre, they were treated to a slew of bonkers faux trailers.

While that grand Grindhouse watch consisted of Tarantino's Death Proof and Rodriguez's Planet Terror, sandwiched between those two features were trailers for Rodriguez's Machete, Rob Zombie's Werewolf Women of the SS, Edgar Wright's Don't, Eli Roth's Thanksgiving, and Jason Eisener, John Davies and Rob Cotterill's Hobo with a Shotgun.

Intended to just be trailers for fictional movies that were never going to be made, so popular were these previews, it's since led to Machete and Hobo with a Shotgun being spun into full features. And now, Eli Roth's Thanksgiving has been confirmed to be making that same jump.

As revealed earlier this year, Roth is writing and directing this Thanksgiving flick, with the only plot details currently known being that the film will see your classic slasher killer head to a small Massachusetts town with the aim of "creating a Thanksgiving carving board out of the town's inhabitants".

Walker's Jalen Thomas Brooks is on headline duties for the movie, and he'll be joined by Disney favourite Nell Verlaque, with Patrick Dempsey and Addison Rae presently in talks to join the Turkey Day fun.
