7. Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - Playing Guitar

The Friday the 13th franchise is one brimming with throwaway characters, with any distinct characterisation given to these figures likely to come back and bite them on the backside.

In the case of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan's J.J. (Saffron Henderson), the one unique character trait given to her was that she was a budding rock star who was never seen without her trusty Flying V guitar over her shoulder.

Of course, Jason Takes Manhattan sees a group of graduating school kids taken on a class boat trip to New York. To make J.J. more than just a nameless, faceless body for Jason to slice up, she's shown rocking out with her guitar and filming wannabe music videos while on the S.S. Lazarus.

Deciding the absolute perfect place to jam out is the dark, dingy machine room at the depths of the Lazarus, J.J.'s hair-tastic guitar shredding is ruined by the arrival of Jason Voorhees - with Jason then slaughtering her with her very own Flying V.

As the old saying goes, you live by the guitar, you die by the guitar.
