10 Horror Movies That Brutally Punish Your Curiosities

6. Grave Encounters 2

One could realistically include the first Grave Encounters movie here, but this time out it's the turn of 2012's Grave Encounters 2 to get some time in the sun.

That first picture found a group of reality TV sorts investing an old psychiatric hospital in the hope of discovering paranormal shenanigans. Of course, this group finds way more than they bargained for, and the hoped-for supernatural activity becomes a little too real.

For Grave Encounters 2, the main characters are a group of Grave Encounters fans who are intrigued to see whether the events in that first film were real or not. And of course, this curiosity well and truly comes back to bite them on the backside, as they find themselves embroiled in the same terror experienced by the characters of the prior movie.

In wanting to see just how real Grave Encounters was, this sequel's protagonists found themselves stalked, spooked, murdered and even forced to kill their friends by the time all is said and done with Grave Encounters 2 - with these events themselves then positioned as 'just' a movie as the follow-up concludes.
