10 Horror Movies That Chose The Wrong Survivor

Despite Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead being mounted as the first entry in a potential franchise, only a single major character actually makes it to the end credits - Scott Ward's (Dave Bautista) daughter Kate (Ella Purnell).

In the final moments of the film, Kate is forced to kill her turned father, and it's revealed that though Vanderohe (Omari Hardwick) is technically alive, he's also been bitten and presumably isn't long for this world.

Kate is a sole survivor both predictable and insanely dull, given that her various subplots help bloat the film out to 148 patience-testing minutes, and her actions throughout the film frequently endanger her fellow survivors.

The far more likeable Scott and Vanderohe would've been infinitely more gratifying survivors, rather than the whiny, idiotic daughter character who could've been cut entirely without harming the film at all - even arguably improving it.
