10 Horror Movies That Only Make Sense At The End
9. One Cut of the Dead
The first act of One Cut of the Dead suggests it's an entertaining if familiar found footage film, centered around the cast and crew of a low-budget zombie film whose production is invaded by "real" zombies.
At the conclusion of the opening 37-minute single take, however, it's revealed that all of this footage was actually from a totally staged film called One Cut of the Dead.
From there, the third act of the movie shows the opening single-take sequence unfold from another perspective, revealing all the hilarious behind-the-scenes mishaps which contributed to the eccentric, ramshackle production.
Watching the opening act play out again with the curtain pulled fully back reveals the film to be as obscenely clever as it is deliriously entertaining, and so only when the end credits finally roll for the last time do we actually have the full context of what we've just watched.
