10 Horror Movies That Punish You For Getting Wasted

8. Aunt Bedelia - Creepshow

Shrooms 2007
Warner Bros.

To this day, 39 years after it was released, George A. Romero and Stephen King's Creepshow remains the greatest anthology offering in horror movie history.

In the first of the five short stories that make up Creepshow, Father's Day is a tale that concludes with a murdered father returning from the grave to seek revenge on those who had wronged him.

One of the daughters of this deceased fella was Bedelia (Viveca Lindfors). Emotionally abused by her father when he was alive, Bedelia's life became even more of a hell when her old man had her beloved boyfriend killed. As payback, Lindfors' character bludgeoned her pops to death on Father's Day as he demanded cake for his special day.

Despite killing her dad, Bedelia still visits his grave once a year on the anniversary of his death. And for this weary sort, she decides to work her way through a bottle of liquor when paying her respects in Creepshow's opening segment.

Having spent hours at her father's grave, the sozzled Bedelia once more reaches for her booze bottle - only to be grabbed by the maggot-infested reanimated corpse of her daddy dearest, who goes on to kill her.
