10 Horror Movies That Really Needed A Better Villain
3. Blade: Trinity
Blade: Trinity is a big ol' mess of a conclusion to the O.G. Blade trilogy, and while it didn't help at all that Wesley Snipes wasn't even remotely enthusiastic about doing it, it's the villain who truly sucked (sorry) the joy out of proceedings.
Blade (Snipes) and company end up facing off against Drake aka Dracula (Dominic Purcell) this time around.
Like many entries on this list, it's not an inherently bad idea, but between the script's underwhelming treatment of the character and Purcell's utterly flat, lifeless performance, he scarcely even feels like the legendary vampire at all.
Plus, when you compare him to the series' prior villains - the terrifically entertaining Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff) and vicious Nomak (Luke Goss) - he can't help but seem like an epic downgrade.
Did anyone need Dracula to be an ultra-swole, personality-devoid plank of wood? What a waste of one of the most iconic villains in all of horror.
