10 Horror Movies That Will Make You Never Sleep Again
6. Cheerleader Camp
Carrying on with the theme of “oh no, what did I do in my sleep?” we have a slightly lighter take here with 1988’s slasher romp, Cheerleader Camp.
Cheerleader Alison finds herself tormented each night by nightmares about her teammates in the run-up to a competition. The problem is that the people she dreams about seem to turn up dead fairly soon after, each in gruesome and horrible ways, and Alison has to begin considering that maybe it’s her fault.
It seems like a really scary concept, to be unable to control your dreams and then confront the possibility that you’re acting them out in real time. Like we’re not just talking about some inconvenient sleepwalking, or dreaming you’re naked at school and then waking up fully nude in geography class, this is serial murder!
If I had to consider every time I hit the hay that I might also be killing my friends, I’d definitely struggle to get a good night’s rest.
