10 Horror Movies & TV Shows You Can No Longer Watch

4. Trick Or Treat

The Night Flier
De Laurentiis Entertainment Group

1986's Trick or Treat, in which a teenage boy is haunted by the ghost of his favourite late heavy metal star, is something of a cult fave among '80s horror aficionados, and perhaps most fondly remembered for cameo appearances from Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne.

Despite almost doubling its budget at the box office, though, the film has been tricky (sorry) to track down in recent years.

Trick or Treat received a 2002 DVD release that's obviously now out of print, and then frustratingly had an extremely limited run on German Blu-ray in 2016, totalling just 1,500 copies.

As such it's little surprise that these Blu-rays were quickly snapped up, and without any streaming release to speak of, fans have to hope they're lucky enough to seek out a second-hand copy online.

This feels like it'd be a perfect get for Shudder, but as ever there are surely greater rights-related complications than we'll ever be made aware of.
