10 Horror Movies & TV Shows You Can No Longer Watch
2. The Night Flier
1997's The Night Flier is based on Stephen King's 1988 short story of the same name, which while reviewed poorly at the time of its release, has a warm place in many horror fans' hearts due to Miguel Ferrer's central performance and the spectacular creature effects.
Despite this, its last DVD release was all the way back in 2000, which has been out of print for a long time, forcing most fans to settle for low-resolution bootleg streams.
Given that Warner Bros. owns the rights to the film, this really shouldn't be a tricky one to figure out: if they don't want to finally send it to Blu-ray, at least let people view it in all its HD glory on HBO Max.
But really, a Blu-ray release for a movie with such striking prosthetic effects feels like an absolute must. If even Stephen King adaptations of all things are getting trapped on old formats, what hope does everybody else?
