10 Horror Movies Where An Actor Plays Multiple Characters
4. Lindsay Lohan - I Know Who Killed Me
Ah, Lindsay Lohan, it would feel weird to make a list about actors double rolling without including her. Sure, the film that made her famous for playing two characters (The Parent Trap) is about as far removed from a horror movie as you can get. But, thankfully (?), she has delved back into doubling up.
I Know Who Killed Me is a baffling thriller that sees Lohan take on the joint roles of Aubrey Fleming and Dakota Moss. The former is a sweet and innocent girl who is kidnapped by a serial killer, and the latter is a despondent stripper who is found by a roadside and presumed to be the missing Aubrey.
Naturally, the movie tries hard to make you question whether there really are two girls or if Dakota is simply an imaginary biproduct of Aubrey's trauma. But, it lacks the subtlety and nuance to be as complex as that.
Truth be told, I Know You Killed Me is not a good film. It's derivative, poorly constructed, lacking in thrills, and Lohan does not warrant even one role, let alone two. Still, the novelty of seeing this star re-tread her past as a duo-actor in something as adult as this has a morbidly amusing hue to it.
