10 Horror Movies Where The Final Girl Should Have Died

5. Sara Moyer - Halloween: Resurrection

It's debatable which Halloween sequel is the nadir of the series. But make no mistake, Halloween: Resurrection is a worthy contender. Considering this instalment centres around a reality TV show, and concludes with Michael Myers facing off against (sigh) Busta Rhymes, Resurrection doesn't even sound like a real movie.

So, it's no surprise this stinker happens to have the franchise's worst final girl. In the film, our lead Sara partakes in an Internet reality show, where she and several other contestants must stay in Michael Myers' abandoned home for one night. The competition hits a snag when Michael shows up and starts... y'know... doing his thing.

Fearing for her life, Sara runs away and... that's pretty much it. Rather than fighting her assailant, Sara spends most of her time running or hiding. Although a final girl is supposed to be resourceful and independent, Sara relies on others to keep breathing.

When Michael corners her, Busta's Freddie appears like a knight in shining armour to defeat the serial killer before carrying Sara to safety. Because Sara did very little to stay alive or help her friends, there's no reason why she should've made it to the end.
