4. Possessed Jeans - Slaxx (2020)

A snug waistline, tight ankle, plenty of pocket space, and enough stretch to nail the splits on Dance Dance Revolution -- it's what most of us look for in a pair of killer jeans. But, in 2020, director Elza Kephart sought to redefine the meaning of the term and make sure we thought twice before our next shopping spree, because in the changing rooms no-one can hear you scream...

Set in the Canadian Cotton Clothiers store, Slaxx focuses around the launch of the new Super Shaper jeans, designed to give everyone that perfect fit. But these jeans don't want to be worn, and go on a rampage of strangling, impaling and dismembering anyone who even considers slipping them on. Which is kind of fair enough.

But that's not all. The jeans are possessed by a 13-year-old Indian child labourer who was killed in the company's cotton fields. Turns out Canadian Cotton Clothiers' ethical image is a front, and management will do anything to keep that secret from getting out.

Far more on the nose than Bad Hair, but built in the same mould, Slaxx's shapely villain has the edge simply for the manic imagery it manages to siphon into our eyeholes. Jeans lapping blood off the floor? Jeans snapping someone clean in half? Jeans choking an influencer to death? Yes, please.
