1. The Person In The Red Coat - Don't Look Now
Most of you know the story of this film by now, but for those of you who don’t I’ll give you a quick rundown!
After the tragic death of their daughter, a couple become convinced that they’re able to see her ghost. Glimpses of a small figure in a red coat (the outfit worn by the daughter when she drowned) become more and more frequent, as do disturbing visions of father John’s (Donald Sutherland) death.
At the end of the film, John has cornered the small figure haunting him and his wife. Convinced it is his daughter, he reaches out to her. Yet the figure turns, and instead reveals a woman with dwarfism who abruptly slashes his throat with a meat cleaver. His visions were of his approaching death, and he dies as the film ends.
Genuine question: what the f*ck?! The seventies were just an utterly different time it seems.
