10 Horror Movies You Only Ever Watch Once

4. Cannibal Holocaust

If the name doesn't give it away, Cannibal Holocaust is not a PG rated film.

An Italian horror film directed by Ruggero Deodato, Cannibal Holocaust follows the story of a rescue team sent to the Amazon Rainforest after the disappearance of a documentary team previously filming in the area. The crew encounter various groups of local natives and the film soon descends into its controversial moments, showing off particularly believable and brutal violence, graphic rape scenes and a handful of animals that were actually killed during filming for the movie.

Cannibal Holocaust was one of the first found footage films to use the marketing ploy of claiming that the events seen on screen were genuine, which certainly did help it become arguably the most controversial movie of its day.

It also led to Deodato being arrested on a murder charge for the 'deaths' of his characters, and the subsequent banning of Cannibal Holocaust in several countries including his native homeland.

To this day, this is still one of the most controversial films ever filmed with all of its dubious directorial and marketing decisions, but its brutal material might just tempt a couple horror fanatics in for one quick watch.
