10 Horror Movies You Won't Believe Are Coming Out

When the Scary Movie franchise apparently died following its disastrous fifth entry in 2013, it simply seemed like the time had come for the hit parody franchise to go away.

But this past April, over a decade after the release of the last film, a sixth Scary Movie was announced, with the Wayans brothers later confirmed to be reuniting to develop the project.

Even accepting the obvious brand identity of Scary Movie, it was a genuine surprise to see the franchise making a return given how parody movies have basically been killed by social media short-form content over the past 10-or-so years.

As such, many assumed there simply wasn't an audience for this type of movie - at least on the big screen. 

And so, it'll certainly be interesting to see whether or not Scary Movie 6 actually gets a theatrical release and, moreover, if it's actually able to turn a profit in surely the most hostile period ever for big-screen comedies.
