10 Horror Movies You Won't Believe Are Coming Out
3. Return to Silent Hill
It's a testament to how much of a disastrous letdown 2012's Silent Hill: Revelation was that it took more than a decade for a third movie based on the hit video game franchise to finally start shooting.
Christophe Gans, who directed the original Silent Hill, spent most of that time actively campaigning to get a third movie made, yet despite his laudable passion, it just didn't seem like Hollywood was ever going to bite.
But alas, after numerous stalled starts, Return to Silent Hill - which is based on the beloved second game - finally completed shooting this past February, with Jeremy Irvine starring as James Sunderland and Hannah Emily Anderson as his wife Mary.
After so much time and so much doubt that the film would ever get made, it's finally in the can and guaranteed to release in the near-future.
Now here's hoping that it actually lives up to the atmospheric brilliance of both its video game inspiration and Gans' original film.
