Every now and then there comes along a horror film with such a controversial reputation that it’s almost a challenge to not only your digestive fortitude, but every moral fibre of your being too. In the 2010s that movie was A Serbian Film: the feature film debut of director Srđan Spasojević about a semi-retired porn star who takes on a job that quickly descends from your run of the mill porno into a violent snuff film.

Why You'll Never Watch it Again

Two words: newborn porn. Yes, A Serbian film is notorious for a particularly disturbing scene in which, to put it as nicely as possible (which is difficult), a baby emerges from the womb and is pretty much immediately inducted into the world of nasty, illegal porn.

While that’s the worst scene in the film, there’s plenty more off-putting fodder like a mid-bang beheading and a guy skull f*cked to death via his eye socket. Even for the most hard core of horror fans, that’s a bit too much to stomach twice.
