10 Horror Origin Movies That Feel Inevitable

9. Baghuul (Sinister)

Due to the relatively low cost of making the movies - the first Sinister costing only $3 million to put together - the Sinister franchise is one that's surely too hard to leave alone.

While Sinister 2 is now six years old, it feels like there has to be another outing for the franchise at some point down the line, and just such an outing seems like it needs to delve a little deeper on the series' eerie villain, Baghuul.

Otherwise known by the far more fun moniker of Mr. Boogie, Baghuul is a pagan deity who exists purely to devour the souls of humans after corrupting them to kill their families.

We know that Baghuul had his mouth sewed shut by his brother Moloch, but that's about it where it pertains to the rogue's origins. In that brotherly relationship, there's plenty of fuel for an origin movie - plus there's also the chance to properly visit Baghuul's netherworld residence.

Do we particularly need an origin flick for Baghuul? In fairness, likely not. That's never stopped such origins being told in decades prior, though. And when looking at the near $90 return that first Sinister brought from its modest budget, it's almost guaranteed we'll get a third Sinister movie somewhere, somehow.
