10 Horror Origin Movies That Feel Inevitable

8. The Elite Hunting Group (Hostel)

It seems impossible to believe that the Hostel franchise won't be revisited at some point in the future.

As of this writing, it's been ten years since the straight-to-video Hostel: Part III. Horror being horror, though, there will undoubtedly be a fresh lick of paint put on this franchise at some point down the line. And when that does indeed happen, the obvious way to go would be step back in time and look at the origins of the Elite Hunting Group.

That organisation is behind the grim, gruesome torture seen across the Hostel series, and exploring the formation of the Elite Hunting Group is definitely one way to bring something fresh to the table.

All that we know about the EHG so far, is that the group is headed up by Milan Kňažko's Sasha Rassimov. But much like Sasha himself, the Elite Hunting Group's roots are very much shrouded in mystery during the three films to feature the company.

How did the Elite Hunting Group come together? Was Sasha always in charge? Just how long has this sinister organisation been in existence? All of those are valid questions that could prove for an engaging watch if and when we eventually get a Hostel prequel film.
